Your night starts with Maguro Shoten (Tuna Auction) in Clocktower Bar, then, Chefs Joel Bickford & Aaron Ward have created an extra special 5-course menu together with a range of matching wines and drinks by Alex Kirkwood and Shun Eto.

Immerse yourself in a night of worldly pleasures and be entertained by one of the best Jazz musicians in Australia if not the world, James Morrison. Undoubtedly a true virtuoso, Morrison’s talents extend beyond the trumpet as he skilfully masters the piano, all brass instruments, and double bass. 

The night begins with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne and canapés on arrival in the Clocktower Bar, accompanied by live music from The Menzies Jazz Trio. Guests will then move into the Dining Room for a special three course menu crafted by Culinary Director Joel Bickford and Head Chef Aaron Ward with a matched wine option selected by Alex Kirkwood and Shun Eto. The evening culminates as James Morrison and his exceptional jazz ensemble take to the stage for an unforgettable live performance.

We are delighted to once again welcome our hosts, John Susman and Narito Ishii as very special guests to Shell House for our second edition of Wet, Cold + Delicious – ‘A deep dive into Tuna’. Culinary Director, Joel Bickford and Head Chef, Aaron Ward have created an extra special 5-course menu together with a range of matching wines and drinks by Alex Kirkwood and Shun Eto.

Your experience begins in the Clocktower Bar with a glass of Perrier-Jouët on arrival before a visual and sensory feast courtesy of produce by Pavo & Heidi Walker from Walker Seafoods –  the best in class of the East Coast tuna fleet. On display will be a giant Bluefin Tuna suspended under lights before being lowered onto a marble bench and expertly broken down by Narito.

Narito will then host a Maguro Shoten (a traditional Tsukiji fish market-style auction) to raise money for The Buildcorp Foundation. Proceeds of the auction will be donated to tackle the spectrum of our mental health crisis, a cause that is close to our hearts given how Covid has affected our industry and the people within it.

All the while, John and Narito will be sharing their wisdom when it comes to the sustainability of local and imported Tuna. All auctioned portions will be cryovaced and boxed on ice with a bottle of our own house-made soy sauce wax dipped and stamped for your enjoyment.

Join us for the highly anticipated sixth edition of our signature musical moment, Classic Contemporary, where we present live reinterpretations of some of the most beautiful records ever made.

On Wednesday 5th July, we delve into the catalogue of the iconic band Jamiroqui and present a selection of their chart-topping albums played front to back, including the hits “Virtual Insanity,” “Cosmic Girl,” and “Little L” before the Shell House Band takes to the stage to perform their propulsive reinterpretations.

The Shell House Band comprises a group of multi-ARIA Award-winning musician icons, led by the talented bandleader Julian Sudek. Together with Jonti and Tim Ayre (Lazywax) and a host of other guest headline artists, they will take you on a journey through the classics like you’ve never experienced before.

Sip on a glass of Perrier-Jouet Champagne upon arrival, and indulge in delicious cocktails crafted by Alex Kirkwood and Josh Reynolds, wine selected by Shun Eto, and snacks by Chefs Joel Bickford and Aaron Ward, all while you dance the night away. Rhythms and luscious melodies, the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful city skyline view from the top of Shell House.

This strictly limited-capacity audiophile experience takes place live and direct from Sky Bar, transforming the intimate environs into a feast for the senses.
